Staff Accountant - New Grads Welcome
Salary Range $50,000 to $60,000 / Hybrid - Work From Home 2 Days a Week General Purpose Perform accounting, clerical and analytical tasks related to the efficient bookkeeping maintenance and processing of accounts payable / account receivable transactions.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities oPerforms accounting accounts payable function, maintaining AP and Cash Disbursement journal oApply accounting principles, theories and practices to a wide variety of tasks oDispense petty cash and Client Assistance fund/Gift after ensuring proper documentations is provided by staff oManaging and tracking agency credit card process, reconciling receipts to statement, properly document and record oInteract with banks through online interfaces and make bank deposits oReconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies oReconcile petty cash account, Business Card Account and Client Assistance fund account oMaintain accounting files in an organized manner oAssists to research, collect and copy backups for grant vouchering oAssist in completing the financial statements and supporting analysis when needed oAssist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures for accounting activities as needed and adhere to policies and procedures for all activities oOther duties as assigned Requirements Education and Experience oAssociate's degree in Accounting with 1 years' experience, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting oKnowledge of Dynamic Great Plain Accounting system preferred oProficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch oExperience of working for not for profit agency is preferred Key Competencies oMust have strong work ethics oMust be well organized and a self-starter oDetail oriented, professional attitude, reliable oPossess strong organizational and time management skills oGood problem solving skills, solid accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution oAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees and vendor oAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness Recommended Skills Accounting Software Accounts Payable Administration Analytical Attention To Detail Communication Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
