As a Budtender/Agent, you'll be the face of our dispensary and play an essential role in providing exceptional service to our customers.
Your expertise in cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods will ensure a positive and educational experience for our valued clientele.
Position
Responsibilities:
Follow all state and local regulations governing the sale, distribution, and consumption of cannabis products.
Keep accurate records and documentation of sales, inventory, and customer information, and always prioritize safety and compliance.
Greet customers with a smile and make them feel welcome.
Take the time to listen to their needs, provide guidance on cannabis products based on their preferences and desired effects, and offer a warm and friendly experience.
Share your passion for cannabis by demonstrating a deep understanding of different strains, edibles, concentrates, topicals, and other related products available in the dispensary.
Get to know your customers and help them find the perfect product to suit their individual needs.
Offer knowledgeable suggestions, provide education about various cannabis products, their effects, and appropriate dosages, and always be patient and understanding.
Make the purchasing process smooth and easy for customers.
Following the procedures in play while operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
Keep an organized and secure cash handling process to protect the dispensary and ensure everyone's safety.
Continuous Learning:
Keep up with the latest developments in the cannabis industry.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills, and share your newfound knowledge with your colleagues and customers Salary$17 - $18 USD per hourRequired Skills Prior experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment.
Age and Licensing:
Meet the minimum legal age requirement for cannabis industry employment in your jurisdiction and hold any required licenses or certifications Have a comprehensive knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods.
Familiarity with different cannabis accessories and their uses is a plus! Intermediate-level math skills Exceptional customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to solve and resolve problems in a calm, professional, and courteous manner Strong computer-based skills Dynamic interpersonal and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects (up to a certain weight limit), and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy Understand local and state regulations governing the sale and distribution of cannabis products.
Be familiar with compliance procedures, such as age verification and record-keeping, and prioritize safety and compliance Desired Skills Teamwork:
be able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve dispensary goals.
Be willing to support other areas of the business as needed.
Personal experience with cannabis preffered.
